Everything looks and feels just a bit more beautiful after dark in the Cathedral at this time of year. Enjoy the decorated Cathedral by night with live music provided by our Cathedral musicians and friends. Don’t forget your camera!
The Monk’s Kitchen will be open for mulled wine, mince pies and other tasty treats throughout the evening and don’t forget to visit the Cathedral Gift Shop for the perfect memento of the evening or some last-minute Christmas shopping!
If you would like to make your visit extra special this festive season, add a candlelit tour of the medieval library (on selected dates) or a trip to the top of the tower to see the city at night:

'Cathedral Unwrapped' tickets include general entry to the event - you do not need to purchase a separate entry timeslot if you have purchased a 'Cathedral Unwrapped' ticket. A ticket for general entry does not include access to the library or tower.

We appreciate plans and circumstances can change. To update the date/time of your visit, please click the ‘View / Edit Booking’ link in your confirmation email to modify your booking. If you are no longer able to attend, please email [email protected] to request cancellation. Please note, cancellation requests must be received a minimum of 48 hours prior to the time of your booking to be eligible for a refund.
Cathedral Dogs Policy
Please note only assistance dogs are permitted at the Cathedral Christmas at Night Experience. Dogs are welcome to enjoy the decorations during the day in line with our Dogs Policy.
