Everything looks and feels just a bit more beautiful after dark in the Cathedral at this time of year. Enjoy the decorated Cathedral by night with live music provided by our Cathedral musicians and friends. Don’t forget your camera!
With a Library Unwrapped ticket, make your visit extra special by adding a tour of the Cathedral's medieval library bathed in candlelight. Located up a winding spiral staircase, discover the history of this hidden part of the Cathedral through four fascinating books in our collection, including a special Christmas themed item.

The Monk’s Kitchen will be open for mulled wine, mince pies and other tasty treats throughout the evening and don’t forget to visit the Cathedral Gift Shop for the perfect memento of the evening or some last-minute Christmas shopping!

Please note:
- The library is accessed by climbing 38 spiral steps so this is unfortunately not suitable for those with mobility issues
- Library Unwrapped and Tower Unwrapped tickets include general entry - you do not need to purchase a separate general entry timeslot if you have purchased an Unwrapped ticket
- To allow as many visitors as possible to enjoy these experiences, it is not possible to purchase a ticket that includes both the library and the tower
- A ticket for general entry does not include access to the library or tower

Please note only assistance dogs are permitted at the Cathedral Christmas at Night Experience. Dogs are welcome to enjoy the decorations during the day in line with our Dogs Policy.
