Everyone knows the 'Hallelujah Chorus' and this Autumn, you can hear it as part of Handel's whole oratorio, 'Messiah', which tells in music the story of Jesus' life. From its intimate opening movements and moving arias to thrilling choruses and a triumphant finale, the whole work takes us on an extraordinary musical journey through the story of Christ’s birth, death, and resurrection. Come along to the magnificent Gloucester Cathedral to experience Messiah in the setting for which great choral music was made, performed by our world-class Cathedral Choir, and directed by Adrian Partington, Director of Music.
