Join us on one of the dates below for a rare opportunity to take a peek inside and see a selection of items. On each date, you are invited to hear about the history of our Library and explore different items in the collection following a theme.

Dates & Themes
Saturday 7 March - Music Theme
Discover the glory of our historic music collection in the historic library. See books the choir sang from, read the tales of musicians and find out a little more about some of the “unsung” women represented in our musical collection.
Saturday 11 April - Easter Theme
Explore the easter story in our Bible collection and maybe spot a few bunnies and chicks as well on this Easter themed library tour.
Friday 29 May - Medieval Theme
Visit our 15th century library and see a selection of our treasurers from the medieval period. From humble histories to illuminated charters step back to our earliest recorded history.
Saturday 20 June - Architecture Theme
Discover more about the repair and maintenance of the Cloisters and the wider cathedral through our archives. Find out more about the men and women who have helped to look after the wonderful building.
