Gloucester Cathedral Library, Gloucester Cathedral
Located up a winding spiral staircase, the medieval library at Gloucester Cathedral contains a wonderful collection of books and manuscripts dating back to the 11th century.

Join us on one of the dates below for a rare opportunity to take a peek inside and see a selection of items. On each date, you are invited to hear about the history of our Library and explore different items in the collection following a theme. 

Date: Saturday 19th October
Theme: Space and Science
Explore how humans have thought about the Universe and its effect on our lives through our collection of books and manuscripts.
Times: 10.45am, 11.45am, 1:45pm and 2.45pm

Date: Saturday 7th December
Theme: Christmas
Read the Christmas story in our collection of historic Bibles.
Times: 10.45am, 11.45am and 1.45pm

· Library Tours last around 60 minutes
· Library Tours involve climbing 38 spiral steps. 

Booking essential. Bookings will close 24 hours before the date of the event. Any remaining tickets will be available to purchase at the Welcome Desk on the day, subject to availability.
