Friends' Day 2025 will take place on Saturday 12th July at Gloucester Cathedral
This event is exclusively for Friends of Gloucester Cathedral and their guests
10.00pm: AGM in the Chapter House
11.00am: Concert by Gloucester Cathedral's Junior and Middle Choirs in the Lady Chapel, conduced by Nia Llewelyn Jones
11.30am: Time to relax and socialise in the Chapter House (Tea and cake* will be provided for those who have purchased refreshment tickets - see 'extras' on the booking form)
12.15pm: Talk - Paul Hale, Organ Consultant, Gloucester Organ Project
We are really sorry but, due to unforeseen circumstances, James Atherton, Head Voicer at Nicholson & Co Organ Builders will no longer be able to speak at this year's Friends' Day.
However, we are delighted to say that Paul Hale, a distinguished British organist, choral conductor and organ consultant, who is working on the In Tune Organ Project with Nicholsons, has kindly agreed to come and speak to the Friends. Paul is overseeing the construction and installation of the new Nicholson organ, and we are very much looking forward to his talk about the Gloucester Cathedral Organ Project on 12th July.
Note: AGM papers will be sent to current members with the Annual Report in early June, and will include a proxy voting form for those who are not able to attend in person.
Entry to events will be based on a guest list of ticket holders, rather than physical tickets
Refunds will not be given unless an event has sold out and the ticket can be resold
