Meet the Museum of Gloucester’s Head Curator, Lizzie Johansson-Hartley, whilst learning about 10 fascinating, weird and wonderful items found across the City of Gloucester and surrounding area. Take this opportunity to handle replicas of these rare and interesting items, and find out more about how you can help the Museum with their upcoming public archaeology project.

This event is part of the Gloucester Festival of Archaeology, which is Gloucester's contribution to the Council for British Archaeology's national Festival of Archaeology. The Festival is organised by Gloucester Civic Trust and Gloucester Cathedral in partnership with several organisations and Heritage venues in Gloucester. Between 5:15 and 6:15 the Cathedral is open for Worship only. You will not be able to access the event or sightsee in this time but you are more than welcome to join us for Evensong - a historic service still using the same psalms, prayers and hymns set out by Henry VIII. 

Parking:
We are sorry that due to limited space, parking in the Cathedral Close is restricted to pass holders only.
There are eight disabled parking spaces which are for use by Blue Badge holders on a first come first served basis.
However, there are several public car parks within easy walking distance of the Cathedral.
